After some research, I decided on the Upgraded 7.5W Solar Battery Trickle Charger Maintainer – 12V Portable Waterproof Solar Panel Trickle Charging Kit. It looked like the perfect solution: simple, compact, and completely self-sustaining.
Works great, using for my ride on mower, keeps the battery charged. But cord could be a bit longer. I wouldn't rely on the suction cup too much better to use screws

This device has been a game-changer. I leave my RV over the winter for months at a time. I put this on the dashboard and plug it into the cigarette lighter, I don't even have to pop the hood. The engine fires up immediately every time. It has saved me a lot of money in replaced batteries.
This solar panel charger works great. My car’s alarm system is draining the battery so I bought this solar charger. I use the car once a week and it barely starts or the battery is low so this keeps it charged. The true test was the last two weeks, I was out of town and came back and it started right up. I clamp it onto the battery clamps that are on the posts and thread the wires to the charger through the hood near the windshield wipers and where the door closes. I put the panel on the dash which gets partial sun all day. I disconnect the clamps from the battery before starting and it started right up.
Installing is easy. If you have a “live” cigarette lighter when the engine is off, then you can plug it into the lighter aka usb plug in.
I liked it so much that I ordered a 2nd one for my 95 Grand Cherokee back home in Arizona, which wasn't being used at all while I was in Delaware helping my sister care for my parents and keeping up with their house.
Bought this for a 2005 Toyota solara with interstate battery. The car sits and I try to drive it at least once a week. But days go bye and I would end up with the battery needing a jump. So decided I would try this out. Not disappointed at all. Its been a few weeks now and each time I started the car it cranked right over. Not sure if its good to leave it connected, the first time I drove the car I unhooked after starting. The last 2 times I left it connected and did my errands. Seems amazing for the price. Definitely recommend.

Put this on my Kubota Tractor to keep the battery charged, especially in the winter when it’s not used as often. We use it to plow snow, but depends on the year whether there is any and you sure don’t want to have a dead battery when the snow is flying all around you. This charges the battery very nicely and the tractor fires right up. I’m ordering another one for an ATV. Good Controller, easy to install and works great! The panel itself looks to be super high quality. Strong and not flimsy at all.
